Hide Products from a Set of Customers

You may find the need to hide a product or group of products from certain customers on your B2B website. This is something that is possible and shouldn't be too difficult to set up.

There are a couple of things that need to be done to allow this to work.

1. The customer(s) you wish to hide products from will need to be assigned to their own Price Level. This can be accomplished in the Edit Customer section in webmanager or via the Customer template spreadsheet.

As seen in the screenshot above, this group of customers has now been placed into an unused Price Level, PriceLevel3. These customers you wish to hide products should be the only ones assigned to this Price Level.

2. Any products you wish to hide from these customers will need to have their price changed to -1 in the Price Level you assigned the customer(s) to in step 1 above. This can be accomplished in the Product Quick Edit section in webmanager or on the Product template spreadsheet.

As seen in the screenshot above, by placing a -1 in PriceLevel3, these products will be hidden from any customer assigned to PriceLevel3 while still being able to see other products and their correct pricing as assigned to their PriceLevel3.

Note: This feature will only work in the B2B, not in any of our other products.
